My Name is Bill McCarthy, a photo artist based in Conifer, Colorado. My primary medium is photography enhanced through different photo texture techniques. I like to create images with a painterly effect. My floral images are created by arranging the flowers on a lightbox, backlighting them, thus giving them an almost transparent look and in some of the photos an almost stained-glass effect. A technique that I thought was different from standard flower photography. I like giving my landscape photos texture techniques to blur the lines between photography and painting, so that the viewer may ask “Is that a photo or is it a painting?”.
