Lakewood Arts (LAC) “Adopt-a-School” for March, 2026: Sigman Garcia – Sig’s Corner

Sigman Garcia is a student from Arapahoe High School. His exhibit is called “Sig’s Corner: Art as Therapy” and represents his memories of art helping him through some challenging times. His favorite piece is his favorite vehicle, the white Ford truck painting in the photo below.

Sig has been doing art for many years already and plans to be an artist when he is older. He also takes art lessons from one of our co-op artists – Katie Trapp, at Curtis Center. Sig’s Corner will be on display on our Spotlight wall through the month of March 2026.

We’re looking for a schools to “adopt” for the coming year. Please refer any school you know of that needs assistance. In addition to providing space for teachers to exhibit student artwork, we may also assist with art supplies, special events, or may be able to assist your class with a “guest artist teacher.” If you are a teacher interested in participating in our “Adopt-a-School” program, please contact us at lakewoodarts.education@gmail.com
