About the Juror: Barb Tobiska. Listed Colorado Artist and Active Teacher of Oil Painting from 1945-2019, Barbara still paints and leads critiques every Friday during Open Studio at Lakewood Arts Center. A gifted instructor, she is beloved by her many students. Barbara was initially identified as a budding artist at the age of 8. She was sent to Joselyn Art Memorial in Omaha, NB and her long career in art began. Arts Organizer and Exhibitor with Foothills Art Center, Mountainside Art Guild, Majestic Gallery, Visions in Space and numerous others, Barbara is a dynamo and an inspiration in the metro art scene. Barbara founded Lakewood Arts (Council) in 1988 - the first Arts Organization in Lakewood, CO. Barbara was also instrumental in developing the Lakewood Public Art Program with the City of Lakewood.
